Tips On How To Avoid Breakouts and Problem Skin:
- Try to stay stress free and try not to get depressed. (Easier said than done!)
- Do not touch your face. If you put your hands on your face the bacteria and oils from your hands will transfer from them to your face.
- Always wash your hands first before you start your skin care routine.
- Avoid foods with high levels of saturated fat, such as fried foods. Also don't eat too many dairy products. These can contribute to blocked pores.
- Drink plenty of water. Recommended daily amount is 8 glasses.
- Make sure you pull your hair back at night before you go to bed. This will prevent hair oils and grease transferring from your hair to your face.
- Eat as many portions of fresh fruits and vegetables as you can handle. Recommended daily amount is 5 serving.
- Use heat on your pimples. Try a warm compress.
- Resist the temptation to pick your spots/ pimples. When you pick your skin, it inflames the tissue around the pimple. This can also lead to the spread of infection.
- Exercise regularly- This is the best way to get your whole body to working right, from the inside out.
- Eat natural vegetable oils (olive oil) and fish oils, which are beneficial to your skin and metabolism.
- Drink plenty of freshly squeezed or diluted fruit juice for vitamins and improve your skin appearance.
- Get at least 8 hours of sleep at night. This is so good for your whole body and your skin.
- Do not use harsh skin care products. This will only make the problem worse.
- Do not use too many hair products as they can lead to skin breakouts.
- If problems still continue, then you might want to consult a dermatologist because over the counter remedies may not be enough for you. You may need a prescription from a dermatologist.
